About the Group Director of Procurement Role - Procurement Leadership Opportunity We are looking for an exceptional individual to join us as Group Director of Procurement. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of procurement across a large scale Social Housing Group, ensuring the delivery of efficient, high-quality, and customer-focused supply chain solutions that underpin our social purpose. You will be responsible for setting and implementing the Group Procurement Strategy, developing a unified operating model that establishes clear accountability across all procurement, supply chain and contract management activity; leading and supporting a high performing team to deliver value for money, ensure compliance, and support the Group's long term ambitions. This role may be substantively based at either our Norwich or Tewkesbury offices, with travel between main offices required. Key Responsibilities in Procurement Management and Strategy
- Lead and evolve the organisation's procurement strategy, processes, and performance to deliver value for money and support our mission.
- Develop a group-wide procurement vision, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and sector best practice.
- Establish, monitor, and review robust supplier and contract management frameworks across all business areas.
- Champion the integration of social value considerations and sustainability throughout the procurement lifecycle.
- Collaborate with executive stakeholders to forecast needs, identify risks, and co-create innovative procurement solutions.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team that embraces continuous improvement and partnership working.
Required Skills and Experience for Group Procurement Leadership - Significant experience in senior procurement or commercial leadership roles - ideally with exposure to housing, construction, public sector, or regulated environments.
- Proven strategic thinker with experience delivering transformational change through procurement and implementing group-wide procurement strategies
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, supplier and stakeholder relationship management, and business reporting.
- Effective communicator, able to influence and engage colleagues at all levels, and build lasting partnerships.
- Adept at interpreting and applying procurement regulations and ensuring compliance.
- Committed to embedding sustainability, Environmental, Social and Governance frameworks, and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in procurement activities.
- Relevant professional qualifications (ideally qualified to FCIPS level (MCIPS essential) and have a degree in Supply chain Management.
- Full UK Drivers License, Disclosure and Barring Services Check, and Right to Work in the UK
