The team…
The Corporate Commissioning and Procurement Team are responsible for procurement of a wide range of services, including Construction, Facilities Management, Social Care, Professional Services and IT.
We need people who want to make a difference, possess the right knowledge and skills and who want the chance to demonstrate how good they are., We have a vacancy for a Category Lead, working 37 hours per week. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated people to join our team. You'll be responsible for leading and managing procurement activities within a defined category ensuring value for money, compliance with procurement and other relevant legislation whilst aligning with the Council's Contract Procedure Rules and the Corporate Commissioning and Procurement Strategy.

You'll be paid a competitive salary £46,731 to £49,764 pa

You will receive an annual leave entitlement starting at 28 days per year (pro-rata for part time employees) rising to 32, 2 of which may be fixed by the council at any time. You also have the chance to buy up to 10 additional holidays per year.
