Full Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our organisation as Head of Logistics Process & Contracts. This pivotal role will drive operational efficiency, optimise commercial partnerships, and lead transformational change across our logistics and supply chain functions.
As a senior member of the Logistics Leadership Team, you will shape the future of our logistics operations, ensuring alignment with business strategy and delivering measurable value across the enterprise., Head of Logistics Process & Contracts Key Responsibilities;
Process Management Strategy
- Leads the development and alignment of logistics business plans with overall company strategy. Collaborates with group-level logistics and supply chain teams to drive long-term objectives, implement standardised processes, and ensure strategic cohesion across the business.Change Management
- Drives complex, cross-functional change initiatives across departments including Agriculture, Manufacturing, Planning, and Commercial. Oversees strategic planning, cost modelling, and continuous improvement efforts. Leads stakeholder engagement and chairs key logistics forums to ensure alignment and performance.Operational Performance
- Optimises logistics assets and operations to meet cost, service, and profitability targets. Implements controls for packaging, waste, invoicing, and stock visibility. Enhances service delivery through KPI dashboards and collaborates with commercial teams to drive efficiency and growth.Strategic Operations Leadership
- Shapes long-term operational requirements and investment strategies. Aligns logistics and supply chain teams to deliver revenue and EBIT targets. Leads initiatives in waste reduction, asset optimisation, and IT systems performance.Inbound Tanker Strategy
- Manages inbound logistics strategy including 3PL contracts, farm network routing, and service tracking. Acts as the key interface between supply chain, trading, agriculture, and farm services to ensure efficient inbound operations.Systems Strategy
- Owns the logistics systems roadmap, including software and hardware innovation, supplier management, and asset tracking. Oversees relationships with logistics tech providers and ensures system alignment with business needs across approximately 6,500 assets.
What You'll Bring
Extensive experience in FMCG logistics and commercial operations.
- Proven leadership of senior teams and cross-functional forums.
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, procurement and benefit tracking.
- Expertise in logistics systems, automation, and operational change.
- Ability to simplify complex scenarios and influence at all levels., Organised, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
- Strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong communicator with the ability to engage across all business levels.
- Demonstrated success in leading transformation and delivering measurable outcomes.
Location: Field Based (Hybrid)
- Pattern: Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
