Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit an Information Communications Technician Apprentice to our IT team. The Information Communications Technician (ICT) Apprentice will work towards the Level 3 Information & Communications Technician occupational standards at City College Norwich.

The post-holder will gain experience in providing support to staff and pupils, helping them to be effective teachers and learners through the use of technology, focussing on outcomes, and learning experiences in a modern, hybrid learning environment.

The ICT Apprentice will attend College one day per week for the duration of the apprenticeship, undertaking self-study outside of college/working hours, and embedding practical application of the apprenticeship training in the workplace. This is a fixed term appointment for the duration of the apprenticeship (typically 24 months).

We have a strategic aim and commitment to increase the diversity of our staff body. We are passionate about the adults in our community being positive role models for pupils of all backgrounds and we also want our staff to reflect the diversity of our pupil body and wider society in general. We would therefore particularly welcome applicants who come from ethnically minoritised backgrounds.
