Your role and responsibilities
To undertake a comprehensive range of administrative duties to support the efficient delivery of case management and court operations within the Coroners Service. You will need good time management skills and be able to organise your workload in this busy position. You must be able to work in an environment that exposes you to upsetting and confidential material.
- scheduling inquest hearings, maintaining the Coroner's Service website and working in court undertaking court usher duties including operating the court video-link system
- dealing with enquiries via the telephone or email with a range of people including the recently bereaved and external agencies such as police, funeral directors and medical clinicians
- you must be able to work effectively as part of a team, supporting team members and demonstrate a flexible approach to managing your case work.
You will need
- sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- a good understanding of data protection and data sharing legislation.
