Full Job Description
You will cover the full range of news stories from across Wales for online and social platforms. You will be responsible for researching and writing news articles and headlines, sourcing pictures and dealing with breaking news. You will get behind the headlines, explaining issues and producing features to engage and inform our audiences.YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- Report quickly and accurately the news stories of the day - from breaking news to social issues.
- Produce original journalism by using a wide range of contacts and sources and identify innovative story ideas and treatments for an online audience.
- Come up with investigation and feature ideas that help us represent different audiences
- Report on news stories in the field and from the office, conduct interviews, attend media conferences, live events and report from court.
- Work as an integral part of the BBC Cymru Wales news team, working alongside producers, correspondents and reporters, as well as the wider BBC.

You'll be an experienced digital journalist who knows what online audiences expect and can turn around copy under tight deadlines. PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £27,300 - £35,000 pro rata, per annum depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
