Full Job Description
22.5 hours per week, over 3 days, term-time only. Salary: SFCA Support Staff Pay Scale point 9 (£25,786 p.a.) which equates to £13,650 p.a. for 22.5 hours term-time only. As a Visual Arts Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting students and staff within the Visual Arts department. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment, preparing materials, and ensuring a safe and inspiring environment for artistic exploration. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain teaching and working areas, equipment, including textiles, photography, and digital arts.
- Assist students and staff with technical aspects of projects and workshops.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the department.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as required.
- Support exhibitions and displays, helping to showcase students' creative work. About You The ideal candidate will have: · A strong technical background in visual arts disciplines. · Experience working with art materials and equipment. · Knowledge of health and safety standards in an art environment. · Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. · A proactive and supportive approach to working with students and staff.
