Full Job Description
We are looking for a Curriculum Support Worker to join our Media, Art and Design team supporting teachers and learning facilitators with specialist equipment used on our TV and Film, Digital Journalism and Art and Design courses. In this role you'll provide essential support to staff and students., Your role will include maintaining key items of equipment and inventory management (ordering, bookings, checking in and out of equipment). You'll also be required to support staff in practical workshops, for example assisting with studio-based productions, including virtual production using our green screen and VICE tracking system. You will help demonstrate equipment and techniques and assist students with technical support issues.
You will need to be familiar with the technologies and resources used in today's creative industries and must be IT literate. Ideally, you will have an understanding of working in further education and be ready to take on the demands of working with students in this busy and energetic curriculum area., You will support the team to comply to health and safety standards. You'll support the team in sourcing and monitoring students on work placements and, ideally, you'll already have a network of creative employers who may be able to offer student placements or commissions. You will be passionate about the arts, media and the creative sector as a whole.
You must have good literacy and numeracy skills and great communication and inter-personal skills enabling you to deal with a variety of clients. Knowledge of current and emerging developments in relevant technologies within the creative industries is essential.
