Full Job Description
ESOL Tutor
Role Responsibility
A great opportunity to work in an innovative community learning setting. Deliver practical, meaningful courses to help people with everyday tasks. Classes available in Canterbury, Dartford and Gravesend. There will be more countywide. This is a permanent relief role so is flexible.
Use your skills to motivate learners to fulfill their potential. We are working with ESOL learners in community venues, so need someone who communicates well with partners as well as learners and is teamwork orientated to get the best outcomes possible.
There is also opportunity to be innovative. If you progress your learners and identify a follow on course then you can develop that work. If you have creative ideas, then we may be able to put them into action. This is tailored learning so does not need to meet accreditation criteria. It needs to progress learners to the next stepping stone for life and work.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
