Full Job Description
Intern
Added 16th August 2025
Company: Portaul
Location: London
Salary: Competitive
Contract type: Contract
Job Description
We're looking for an intern! Join us at Portaul & help shake up sexual health. We're Portaul, a bold new app making sexual health easy, stigma-free, and even a little fun. Think anonymous STI exposure alerts, secure status sharing, and smart reminders to test, so people can own their sexual health without the awkwardness. Our mission? Break old-school taboos and make it normal to say: "Yeah, I get tested. You should too."
What you'll actually do:
- Create & schedule social content that gets people talking (and sharing)
- Dive into user research: run surveys, chat to real people, gather insights
- Keep our day-to-day ops flowing: help with launches, support user & partner comms
- Draft newsletters and blogs
- Help plan collabs
About you:
- Maybe you're studying marketing, health, business, design or just obsessed with startups & learning new things.
- You're an effective communicator
- Organised & on it (your to-do lists have their own to-do lists)
- Social media savvy (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok? Easy.)
- Good at using Canva (or a similar design software)
- Not shy about talking sexual health (we literally built an app for it)
- Curious, creative, and up for wearing 100 hats
The practical stuff:
- 8-week internship (12 hours/week, fully flexible)
- Remote, but ideally based in London for occasional meetups and team sessions
- Unpaid, for those looking to gain experience. We'll cover lunches & coffees when we meet in person
What you'll get:
- A written letter of reference to support your career aspirations
- Real startup experience in marketing, ops, product & the whole ride
- Mentoring from a team building a healthtech app from scratch
- Build a killer portfolio that'll make your CV pop
- And best of all, make a real impact by making sexual health smarter, safer and stigma free!
Like what you see? Email [email protected] with your CV and a quick one-pager on why you're a good fit. Please note: This internship is a voluntary position, not a contract of employment. It is designed to provide learning and experience in a startup environment, with no promise of future paid work.
