Yard Operative

Shifts: Monday - Friday

Location: Cardiff

Hours: 08:00 – 16:00

Pay: £13.00 per hour

We are looking for a Yard Operative to join our client’s team. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role involving the unloading, sorting, moving and storage of materials. On a temporary on-going contract.

Key Responsibilities

Remove plastic storage bags from containers.
Empty and safely secure contents in designated storage areas.
Move materials into recycling and compactor skips.
Sort and store parts in the relevant bins and storage areas.
Load and unload containers.
Follow all health and safety procedures and site briefings.
Report any accidents, incidents and near misses to the relevant personnel.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

About You

Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy loads.
Comfortable working outdoors and undertaking manual work.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Able to follow instructions and health and safety procedures.
Good team-working skills.
Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.
Full training and site induction provided
