The Royal Ballet and Opera continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. Our Covent Garden theatre has been at the heart of London and British cultural life for three centuries. We are home to two world-class Companies: The Royal Ballet and The Royal Opera.
Our specialist store in Aberdare covers 14,000m2 and was built in 1995 with the purpose of storing our custom-made pallet system for Royal Ballet and Opera costumes and scenery. The team working onsite manage the complex needs and statistical logging data for the busy requirements of the organisation in the UK and worldwide.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced professional who will be responsible for ensuring the fabric of the building and facilities are maintained to high standards of safety and compliance, sub-contractors suitably engaged and managed, and improvements and capital investments are accurately budgeted and planned. You will be leading on assets management and working closely with colleagues to effectively receive and send out assets on a regular basis, providing effective leadership of staff, and working closely with colleagues across Technical, Scenic, and Costume functions.
Our ideal candidate will be hands on, with a logistical, practical approach and strong relationship management skills. They will be clear communicator with a proactive approach to communication and the ability to lead and develop a small team. You will be able to demonstrate:
