Full Job Description
QuickSTAT and Sterling Aviation consignments-many of which are life sciences or AOG time critical. This role works in shifts, 7am to 7pm, 4 days on, 4 days off. How you create impact: Schedule and allocate drivers for nationwide collections, deliveries, and airport tenders/recoveries Monitor live transport activities and liaise with drivers and subcontractors Ensure timely milestone updates (e.g., Pick-Up, Out for Delivery, POD) Manage shared mailboxes and respond to internal transport queries Maintain driver discipline and standards (e.g., appearance, vehicle cleanliness, punctuality) Provide clear shift handovers and escalate issues to management as needed Support quality control and continuous improvement initiatives
What we would like you to bring Experience in courier or freight operations, including import/export and transport Strong knowledge of UK road networks and route planning Familiarity with temperature-controlled packaging and transit milestones Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Good Distribution Practice knowledge. Experience using a Transport Management system preferred.
