Full Job Description
- This role is open for current UWE studentsIT Services are hoping to offer UWE students the opportunity of paid work experience working with the IT Campus Support team as an IT Support Assistant x5The main responsibilities of the roles are:
- Responding quickly to and resolving IT and Audio-visual issues in teaching spaces during live teaching sessions.
- Carrying out pro-active maintenance activities on our student printers.
- Carrying out IT/AV room checks in teaching spaces.
Please see attached Job description for full details.Although experience using IT and audio-visual equipment would be an advantage, excellent customer service skills are also very important as the role is predominantly customer facing.A full induction and training will be given to the successful candidates.The roles will be on campus and will be based at Frenchay.The contracts for these roles will be term time only for both semester 01 and semester 02 which is a total of 26 weeks (2 X 13-week blocks)There will be a choice of two sets of working hours: The first is a morning shift starting at 07:00am and finishing at 10:00am. The second is an early evening shift starting at 16:30pm until 19:30p. Both shifts are three hours long and are Mon-Fri (making a total of 15 hours per week) - please note less hours will always be considered to fit with individuals teaching hours; however the start and finish times are set.
