Aquatics Instructor - Casual
Wakefield Council
- Location: Wakefield
- Type: Permanent
- Hours: Full-time
- Date Posted: 22 hours ago
We have an exciting opportunity to be part of the aquatics team in the role of Aquatics Instructor. We are looking for Aquatics Instructors to assist with our delivery on a casual basis. This role will provide additional support within our school swimming programme alongside being a key deliverer of our Learn to Swim programme. You may be required to travel around the district to a number of sites providing this support and will involve work on afternoons, evenings, and weekends with the aim of helping residents of Wakefield District learn to swim and be confident and safe in and around water.
The successful candidate needs to possess the relevant swim teaching qualifications and have experience delivering lessons across a range of stages of a Learn to Swim programme. Organisation, time management skills, and good communication skills are required in a role that spans the district and works alongside multiple facility staffing teams and a whole range of age groups. Delivering swimming lessons is a key life skill for children, so applicants must be able to demonstrate how they will be able to successfully work with children in a fun and engaging manner. Wakefield Council endeavours to be the leader in swimming lessons for the area, and we are looking for applicants who share the passion for swimming.
