Full Job Description
Based at the Oxford Centre, Longbenton Community Hub and Library and working with the Hub Manager, you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day operation and supervision of the hub and associated branch libraries, maintaining high levels of customer care, acting as the first point of contact for public access to Council and partner services and undertaking a range of tasks that support the delivery of key Council priorities in the Connecting Communities Strategy.,
- Managing a team, including performance management, producing weekly timetables, allocating work, dealing with leave and absence, and supporting health and wellbeing.
- Responsibility for the security and supervision of premises and their assets, including reporting repairs and maintenance, safe opening and closing of buildings and room set ups.
- Contributing to the local delivery of the national libraries universal offers and promises.
- Planning and delivering library activities for all ages.
You will be positive, proactive and have experience in leading and managing a team. You will have excellent communication skills, good ICT skills and have experience of providing high levels of customer service.
