Full Job Description
Do you have experience of working with disabled people? Can you provide support, advice and guidance to students regarding academic Reasonable Adjustments? Are you a confident communicator who can remain calm, professional and friendly under pressure? Are you organised, with strong administrative skills able to keep accurate records and can you manage multiple tasks at the same time? Are you adept at problem solving and providing practical solutions?
Working as part of a team you will be responsible for working with disabled students seeking general advice and guidance relating to their academic study/support and making appropriate referrals to senior colleagues where complex issues are identified. With experience of advising on reasonable adjustments and support for disabled students in Higher Education, you must have relevant disability knowledge and the confidence and ability to communicate effectively with different audiences and motivate and inspire others. You will demonstrate a student centred proactive approach to working, and have the ability to develop strategies of support that promote independence and progression.
