Relief Leisure Assistant
Penkridge Leisure Centre
Up to £12.45 per hour SCP 2 FIXED
We are seeking enthusiastic and self-disciplined individuals, required to undertake a variety of tasks, including lifeguard duties, assembling sports equipment, general cleaning duties and dealing with customer enquiries at Penkridge Leisure Centre. Successful candidates will ensure the highest standards of Pool Supervision and centre cleanliness, housekeeping, and hygiene. Candidates should have previous work experience in a leisure and/or customer service environment, be customer focused, highly motivated, have good communication skills and hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. Hours of work will be on an as and when required basis including late afternoon/ evenings and weekends. This post has been identified as one requiring checks for possible criminal background. An enhanced disclosure check will be made through the Disclosure and Barring Service and this, or any other, offer of appointment is subject to a satisfactory clearance.

Interviews will take place on Wednesday 18th June 2025 at Penkridge Leisure Centre. Where we receive a high number of applications we may long list and conduct a telephone interview or Assessment Test before short listing for interview. Candidates successful at interview stage will progress to stage two of the recruitment process, which is a Pool Lifeguard Competency Test.
