The governors of Our Lady's Catholic College are seeking to appoint a Technology Technician to work 37 hours a week as a help and support to the pupils and teachers within the Technology Department. We are a high performing school with high expectations of our staff as well as our pupils within an extraordinarily friendly and supportive community. We are looking for a motivated and flexible individual who already has relevant skills and is willing to learn others. He/she must be able to work with a significant initiative and have the personal attributes to become a trusted support for the teacher team and able to guide and help pupils with practical activities in class. The successful candidate needs to have:

• A practical, adaptable approach and strong organisational skills.
• Confidence with tools, machinery, and materials.
• A good understanding of health and safety.
The role will include:
• Supporting the delivery of practical lessons in Food Preparation and Nutrition (preparation before, assisting during the lesson and then clean up afterwards).
• Preparing materials for Design and Technology lessons
• Organising materials and equipment
• Maintaining workshop tools in line with safety standards.

• Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent with a good standard of literacy and general education
• GCSE grade C+ or equivalent in English and maths
• Current First Aid at Work qualification, or willingness to train as a first aider
