Required for September 2025 Bolton School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sports Coach, specialising in Lacrosse, to deliver engaging, high-quality sessions on a self-employed basis. The hours of work will be approximately 22 per week and will involve evenings and weekends. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people, developing their lacrosse skills, fitness, and love for the game. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering sessions that are age-appropriate, challenging, and fun, whether working with beginners or experienced players. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver structured lacrosse coaching sessions to primary and secondary aged pupils
• Foster a positive and inclusive sporting environment
• Promote teamwork, discipline, and confidence through sport
• Liaise with schools and staff to coordinate session times and logistics
• Coordinate lacrosse festivals alongside ELA
• Team selection for all age groups
• Fixture organisation
• Ensure all sessions meet health and safety and safeguarding standards
• Other administrative tasks in line with PE Department requirements
Essential Requirements:
• Experience coaching lacrosse, preferably with secondary aged pupils
• Relevant coaching qualifications or a strong playing background
• First Aid and Safeguarding certifications (or willingness to complete)
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
Hours of work are flexible during School term time with some additional hours required during the school holidays. The hours will also be dependent on school sports fixtures. The hourly rate of pay is £22. With some 2,500 pupils, Bolton School is a large, thriving, academically selective day school. In Autumn 2021, significant changes were made to the leadership structure of the School Foundation, investing the newly created position of Head of Foundation with overall responsibility. A Head of each Division and the Head of Foundation, together with the Clerk and Treasurer, are the Foundation's Senior Officers; they are directly accountable to the Governors. Two adjoining and similar buildings, now attached by a state-of-the art Sixth Form Centre, house the Boys' and Girls' Senior Schools, each of which provides a traditional academic education from the age of 11 years.
