Full Job Description
Are you ready to take the next step in your legal career with one of Europe's most progressive consumer legal tech companies? We're seeking a talented Junior Solicitor to join our high-performing, newly established legal team. In this role, you'll work closely with our Head of Legal and collaborate cross-functionally with our sales and product teams to help deliver best-in-class Wills and Probate services to our clients., Please note that this role is subject to meeting regulatory requirements. As an FCA-regulated organisation, we are committed to adopting the highest standards and we do this by employing individuals with the appropriate skills, experience and integrity to protect both the company and our clients. If you are considered for a role, you will be providing your permission for us to conduct the relevant checks and assessments that will be carried out during the recruitment and onboarding process. The nature of the checks will depend on whether the role is subject to the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). Please note in accordance with our pre-employment checks, all roles will require a criminal record check and further enhanced checks may apply. Certain roles will be subject to ongoing checks in line with the Group SMCR Framework (Fit & Proper Policy). Further details will be explained to you throughout the recruitment process. Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Statement: Our Vision is to connect with our clients, colleagues, company, and communities based on our principles whilst celebrating our differences. We aim to empower leaders and colleagues to seek out and understand new voices and perspectives; to be vocal about inequity and exclusion, and to take decisive, informed, and bold action to promote inclusion and belonging.
We're looking for a qualified Solicitor (England and Wales) with a minimum of one year's experience in probate. This is an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking legal team that's redefining the way probate is delivered-leveraging AI and modern technology to drive innovation and efficiency. You'll be pragmatic, commercially aware, and solutions-oriented, with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. If this sounds like you, we'd be delighted to hear from you.
It's inevitable that all of us are going to deal with death at some time in our lives. It's a fundamental, tragic part of what it is to be human. But the services that should be supporting us haven't changed in decades. From writing your will to planning a funeral or organising probate, the way we deal with death can be complicated and expensive. Instead of feeling supported, people feel lost. But it doesn't need to be this way. We started Farewill to make the experience warmer, brighter, and friendlier. Now we're the UK's top rated probate provider, and help our customers pledge over £300 million to charities through gifts left in their wills. We've also joined the Dignity Group - one of the major providers of funeral services in the UK. Together, we're on a mission to change the way the world deals with death. It's no small task - and we're looking for a Probate Solicitor to help us do it.
- Annual salary of £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
- 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
- X2 Life Assurance
- Pension Scheme
- Car Allowance
- Hybrid flexible working (3 days in our Maidenhead office)
- Genuine career progression and mentorship opportunities
- A chance to make a meaningful contribution to people's lives and deaths
