Thinking about becoming a Lifeguard - but not qualified yet?
That's absolutely fine. Most of our Lifeguard team joined us without an NPLQ. If you're a strong swimmer, calm under pressure, and up for learning something new, we'll support you to gain your National Pool Lifeguard Qualification as part of the role.
Already qualified? Great - we've got roles for you too, both permanent and seasonal.
+ Trainee Lifeguard opportunities (seasonal or permanent), where we'll support you to gain your NPLQ
+ Or, you can gain your NPLQ independently and apply for a qualified Lifeguard role when a suitable vacancy comes up Whichever route you take, you'll find a welcoming, supportive team ready to help you grow, develop your skills and enjoy a rewarding career in the forest.
Please note: All candidates must successfully pass a swim test before progressing to the interview stage.
Getting here is easy - by car or by bus
Whether you're driving or taking public transport, getting to work at Whinfell Forest is straightforward.
If you're travelling by bus, Center Parcs colleagues currently get free access to the local Stagecoach 104 service, which runs between Carlisle and Penrith and stops just outside the Security Lodge. We'll also do our best to schedule your shifts around the bus timetable.
Prefer to drive? Whinfell is easily accessible by car, with free staff parking available on site.
