Full Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to lead a specialist, high-performing team delivering complex assessments and interventions. You will:
- Coach and inspire your team to deliver excellent social work and family support practice.
- Oversee complex community-based assessments (including Parent Assess, CUBAS, and specialist risk assessments).
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust and external partners such as schools, health professionals, and the police.
- Create an aspirational, supportive team culture, keeping children and young people at the heart of everything you do.
- Support the professional development of others by offering training and contributing to our Trust-wide learning culture., At Birmingham Children's Trust, safeguarding children and young people is our top priority. All roles are subject to the appropriate level of DBS check.

We're looking for someone who brings both professional expertise and personal drive. You will: - Be a qualified and registered social worker with strong leadership experience.
- Demonstrate resilience, excellent time management, and the ability to prioritise and quality assure various assessments that offer permanency to children.
- Have proven people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Be a confident problem-solver, supporting staff to make best-interest decisions in line with legislation and best practice.
- Use management information systems effectively to monitor performance and maintain high standards.
- Bring creativity, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- This role is also a fantastic step for independent social workers looking to transition into leadership within a supportive organisation.
