Full Job Description
Join Skanska's Building Services division as a HR Business Partner to the Healthcare Operations Director, where you'll play a pivotal role working closely with FM Healthcare project teams to lead and deliver the people plan. You'll coach managers to take ownership, drive strong employee engagement and performance, and manage all HR matters as a hands-on partner. Embracing the 'One Skanska' approach, you'll collaborate with specialist teams, role model Skanska's values, and foster an inclusive culture. In this impactful role, you'll implement people strategies that enhance business performance while supporting teams that maintain critical, life-saving healthcare environments. You'll also be part of a collaborative and supportive HR team, overseeing one Associate HR Business Partner. What you'll do:
- Demonstrate role modelling of, and be ambassador for, HR business partnering across your areas.
- Develop a thorough understanding of how the FM Healthcare projects are commercially viable and add value through people related activities. Utilise people data to measure and improve project performance.
- Support the HR Director with resource forecasting for your dedicated areas to understand future requirements and implement strategies to address.
- Work in collaboration with the Resourcing team to offer robust governance and benchmarking to support an effective recruitment process.
- Manage employee relations matters effectively to promote a high-performance culture.
- Support the HR Director to execute all annual HR activities effectively.
- Effectively champion the engagement survey and outputs to leverage engagement levels across the sector and work with Operations Director and project leaders on areas which require intervention.
- Actively support and work within the HR Service Delivery model, in partnership with HR specialist functions
Proven delivery in the key areas of generalist HR including business partnering experience, coaching line managers through people related matters. - A thorough and up to date knowledge of employment law, and experience of practical application of this in a complex business environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of a varied range of terms of conditions of employment. Experience of working with unions and Agenda for Change terms and conditions would be beneficial.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills with a track record of building credible relationships
- Resilient - able to face challenges proactively and comfortable dealing with senior management of the organisation
- Able to work as part of a team; demonstrates the ability to network effectively up, down and across the business.
