Full Job Description

This is a part-time (28 hours pw) role for a People Advisor to join the team based at the Science Museum in London on a permanent basis., As People Advisor, you'll provide expert advice and guidance on a breadth of HR matters, supporting managers to follow best practice through the entire employee lifecycle. Reporting to one of the People Partner team, you'll collaborate closely with wider teams in People and Culture, including those specialising in recruitment, payroll, benefits, systems, learning and development, and HR admin. We work to continually improve our service and share knowledge to help upskill team members in best practice. Day to day you will handle an ER caseload, support People Partners with more complex cases, and regularly speak with managers and colleagues to offer a tailored service in looking after colleagues in our museums. For this reason, building strong working relationships and having good knowledge of legislation are important, even more so is the capacity to do so in a mission-driven way.

Do you bring experience of working in a HR environment in an advisory capacity? Are you a good collaborator and relationship-builder?, Joining us, you will bring experience of working in a HR environment in an advisory capacity supporting the management of disciplinaries, grievances, performance, and absence. Knowledge of relevant legislation and current HR trends will be helpful, alongside experience of using HR databases and systems. You will be a strong communicator and relationship-builder, with the confidence and experience to manage various challenges and work independently (while being part of a wider, geographically dispersed People and Culture team).
