Full Job Description
We support providers with their training requirements, as well as supporting them with recruitment and retention initiatives.
We have a dedicated policy and strategy officer to oversee and develop a variety of commissioning strategies and link in with the wider directorate.
North Somerset Adult Social Services are looking for someone to take on the exciting role of Proud to Care Project Lead to support workforce development within the independent social care market in North Somerset. Working under the Learning and Development Officer in the Contracts and Commissioning team, the successful candidate would be expected to lead on a number of new initiatives and represent North Somerset as part of the existing Proud to Care project group that spans Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire., To represent North Somerset as the Proud to Care project lead working with Bristol and South Gloucestershire local authority colleagues.
To work with the Proud to Care project group and North Somerset Communications and Marketing Team to design and implement recruitment campaign content.
To provide advice, support and guidance to the independent/voluntary care sector around workforce development opportunities.
To take a lead with International Recruitment, supporting providers and overseas workers, including displaced workers.
To devise and run recruitment and marketing opportunities (i.e. Pod casts) for the social care workforce including live events such as the North Somerset Care Show and hosting student work experience.
To attend other agency's recruitment events representing Proud to Care.
To support the Adult Social Services Learning and Development Officer in their role where needed.

Valid driving licence and own transport, or be able to provide alternative, suitable method of travel is an essential condition for this role.

Relevant experience in creating appropriate work plans/programmes for self and others.
Experience of marketing/social media is desirable.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop an instant rapport.
