Full Job Description
This role is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. As an Accounts Assistant you will be primarily responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting function, with a focus on Capex accounting, responsible for tracking, managing transactions and financial reporting related to development. You will also be responsible for:
- Manage authorisation of capital projects and maintain tracker for resort capex spend. Prepare and issue reporting of approved projects monthly.
- Manage authorisation of resort capex invoices and post on authorisation received.
- Record payments in tracker and reconcile Resort FF&E balance sheet code on a monthly basis.
- Manage authorisation of development capex invoices and post on authorization received.
- Reconcile total development spend in the accounts system on a monthly basis, reconciling to project management trackers including contractors, FF&E and IT/AV spends.
- Complete capital accounting on a monthly basis including capitalizing new assets and disposing of assets as required.
- Run and post depreciation on a monthly basis., · Assist with authorisation of invoices and post on authorisation received. · Assist with the payment of suppliers and other creditors as required. · Reconcile creditors' statements as received and report on variances in a timely and efficient manner. · Prepare accruals in line with GAAP and hotel policies.
The Ideal candidate will have basic accounts & credit control experience or is studying accounts at college. You will also · Be computer literate with good knowledge of Excel, knowledge of Opera would be helpful. · Have excellent organisation and attention to detail skills. · Possess strong numeracy and administrative skills. · Have experience working in the hospitality industry.

The on-target earning potential for this role is a £27872.20 annual salary, comprising a base salary of £26,645.00 supplemented by an estimated £1227.20 in gratuities per annum, ensuring a rewarding compensation package.
