Full Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team in Plymouth, United Kingdom. As our new Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests, leading the kitchen team, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and seasonal ingredients
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and service
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health, and safety in the kitchen
- Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve financial targets and control food costs
- Ensure consistent food quality and presentation across all dishes
- Participate in menu planning, food costing, and inventory management
- Liaise with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and maintain strong relationships
- Respond to customer feedback and continuously improve the dining experience

- Culinary arts degree or equivalent professional experience in a high-quality restaurant setting
- Proven experience as a Chef, with a track record of leadership in busy kitchen environments
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and food presentation
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a kitchen team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Proficiency in menu planning, recipe development, and food costing
- In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Valid food safety and hygiene certifications
- Creativity and innovation in developing new dishes and culinary concepts
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Passion for food and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
