Full Job Description
Building strong relationships with both suppliers and cleaners is a key part of the role, along with completing day-to-day administration tasks. You will assist in the preparation of linen for changeover days, take delivery of hire linen from the supplier, and manage the control and return of dirty linen. Covering around 5-7 visits per day, you will be travelling to properties in a work vehicle across our 180-strong portfolio, from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Amble, and inland to Wooler.
You'll be actively involved in the daily operations of the Brand Managed Services housekeeping team, ensuring high standards are upheld to deliver an exceptional guest experience. As part of a rota, you will also provide out-of-hours assistance to property owners and guests, responding to and successfully resolving any guest issues that may arise.
Your Responsibilities
As Housekeeper, you will be responsible for the following areas of accountability:
Ensuring all allocated properties are visited and inspected within required timeframes
Ensure the allocated property portfolio is presented to the highest standard at all times
Identifying any maintenance issues and reporting for repair in a timely manner
Following up to ensure any shortfalls or repairs have been carried out in the required timeframes
Building strong relationships with suppliers and cleaners
Assist in the preparation of linen for changeover days
Control of returning dirty linen
Ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met
Taking delivery of the hire linen from the supplier
Responding to and successfully resolving any guest issues
Completing any day-to-day administration tasks
Provide feedback to cleaners on standards and areas of improvement
Ensure policies and procedures are followed to include COSHH and manual handling

A valid driving licence is essential to this role
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
Flexible attitude towards tasks and working hours
Good numerical skills and ability to use own initiative
Full, clean driving licence

Previous Housekeeping Experience
Knowledge of basic property maintenance
Knowledge of COSHH and manual handling
