Full Job Description
The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. Please note: This role is only open to students from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Faculty of Business and Law and who will be a student at Manchester Met during the 2025/2026 academic year. Two roles are available: one student will be selected from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, and one from the Faculty of Business and Law. The Library and Cultural Services provides digital and information literacy training both during teaching sessions embedded into the curriculum and via the open programme, which consists of workshops and online support that any student can engage with. This includes workshops and tutorials on finding information, referencing and evaluating information. Using your unique insight as students, you will work with the Library's Academic Engagement and Teaching Services team to co-create inclusive, engaging teaching resources and support that will enhance students' academic success. The postholder will also support communications activities within Library and Cultural Services on an ad hoc basis including assisting with events, social media, research and user feedback. Key tasks Use student insight and feedback to help shape the development of the information literacy programme, working with the Academic Engagement and Teaching Services team to create resources and support that our students will use for academic success. Tasks include:
- Evaluate and provide feedback for teaching materials and support resources.
- Assess the inclusivity and accessibility of teaching materials and resources
- Contribute to the development of the Library's open programme of information literacy workshops.
- Provide insight to support the team in the creation of teaching resources.
- Participate in user experience (UX) Projects.
- Contribute to service improvement.
- Contribute to the collection and analysis of feedback and data to evaluate and improve teaching and support.
- Conduct competitor desk research.
- Create visual and written content for social media.
- Support with event organisation.
- Provide feedback on key Library and Cultural services.
- Assist in the delivery of in-person and online teaching sessions.

Be part of a team of staff that provides support as required, working flexibly according to the needs of the service.
