Full Job Description
The role will involve working with the trustees and the managing director to keep track of our finances to ensure our reporting is up to date and compliant (we are VAT registered) and to give sound financial advise as required.
We are looking for a treasurer for The Loughborough Bellfoundry Trust. We are a small to medium sized charity with an annual income IRO 250,000. We run a small museum on the site of John Taylor and Co. the last remining bell foundry in the UK. It is our is three fold: conservation, education and celebration of all things bell related. We welcome visitors from all over the world to explore our museum, take a tour of the historic foundry and research in our archives. We have just completed a multi million pound heritage lottery restoration project and now we are facing the reality of being financially resilient as a small independent heritage attraction.
