Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join our band 6 internal rotation, rotating through our adult acute teams (Neuro/Critical Care, Specialist Medicine, and Stroke teams), the acute paediatric team and outpatient Neuro Reablement team. We have one full-time permanent post on offer, allowing the post-holder to develop knowledge/skills working with a wide range of patients across different specialties including regional services. There will also be the opportunity to start to develop more advanced dysphagia management skills.
We are a supportive team with a high level of clinical expertise. There are strong links with the wider MDT. There will be opportunities to develop leadership skills through projects and delivering training. in some parts of the rotation there is a requirement to work on the weekend or bank holidays as part of a rota., To work towards the independent management, triage and prioritisation of own caseload as part of a team, providing specialist SLT assessment and intervention based on evidence based practice for people with communication and/or swallowing difficulties, supporting their families, carers and other professionals.
There will be opportunities to develop and delivery training and supervise and support assistant Speech & Language Therapists.
