Job summary
The post advertised is for an appointment within the University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust based at Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull Hospital (HGS) sites. The appointment is in line with the department's ambitious vision to restore and expand its elective capacity and intended to support the HGS upper limb trauma service and elective elbow, hand and wrist service.
The posts will support the department needs as well as capabilities within the full range of general Trauma & Orthopaedic on-call work with a 1:16-week frequency, including adult and paediatric trauma, outside referrals and in-house emergencies.
The trust is a Major Trauma Centre and is one of the busiest elective centres in England. The T&O department delivers services across multiple sites, so the applicant will be expected to work on different sites as part of their normal job plan.
