Full Job Description

Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking to represent an experienced Headteacher for an interim senior leadership job based in an alternative provision in Hereford, Worcestershire, West Midlands (HR8 1HT). If you are a SEND specialist who is available immediately we would be keen to speak with you. If you are an experienced Headteacher or an experienced Deputy Headteacher seeking a headship who has worked with pupils with SEND across either primary or secondary phases this role may be for you. We are currently supporting an established alternative provision based in Hereford. This role is offered on an interim, temporary basis with the potential to be ongoing into next term. This site is a small, well-established provision with the capacity for up to 8 children. It is good with elements of outstanding and has a supportive team in place consisting of an experienced Executive Headteacher, Senior Teacher and SEND specialist Teachers and TAs. Typically, the site caters for

pupils aged 7-17 with SEND requirements. An informal meeting via Teams will be offered as a starting point for you to gain a full understanding of the school and ethos of the trust. This would then be followed with a tour of the site and a meeting with either the Regional Director or the Executive Headteacher. This site is part of a national trust who are focussed on supporting children with complex behaviours and needs. Their pupils have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences, and they work closely with them to develop self-belief to become effective learners. We focus on introducing senior leaders with a therapeutic style. If you are of a similar mindset and ethos, we would be very happy to discuss the role in more detail. In order to be successfully shortlisted in any of your applications with us we will require the following: A relevant UK based teaching and/or leadership qualification.
Substantial experience working with pupils with SEND within an education setting.
All required documents for safer recruitment processing including, but not limited to a valid right to work proof and a valid Enhanced DBS.
