Role description: Manager

Children North East is a large North East based children's charity that works across the region, with some work extending across England, Wales and Scotland. We exist because growing up can be hard. We want all babies, children and young people to be happy and healthy, and to grow up feeling safe and loved, resilient to the challenges they may face, and valued and confident.

Children North East is thrilled to be opening our first-ever charity shop in Morpeth, with exciting plans to grow our retail offer in the future. Our retail vision is about much more than selling second-hand goods - it's about creating sustainable income to support children and families, building a strong community presence, and championing environmental sustainability through reuse and upcycling.

We're looking for a passionate and experienced retail leader who's ready to roll up their sleeves and help build something amazing from the ground up. This is your chance to not only launch our very first shop but to help shape the future of retail at Children North East - developing strategy, processes and partnerships that will help us to grow our impact for years to come.

Whether you've led charity shops before or you bring wider retail leadership experience, you'll have the vision and drive to make our retail arm a real force for good. You'll lead on shop performance, inspire a fantastic team of volunteers, and work with colleagues across the organisation to grow both our high street and online retail presence.

If you're excited about building something meaningful-helping to create a retail offer that's rooted in community, sustainability, and social impact-this is your moment.
