Full Job Description

Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the Beyond Boundaries talent and learning programme which consists of 11 modules over a 12 month period This includes, scoping, learning design, communications such as joining instructions and register of attendance and all facilitation of sessions, evaluation of sessions, and continuous improvements., As we move into a new era under a new Government we have received approval to transition the externally-delivered training components toward internal delivery. This will involve building the capacity and capability of the team to enable the design and delivery of this training. This is an exciting time of growth for Government Skills.
The Beyond Boundaries L&D Specialists will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the Beyond Boundaries talent and learning programme which consists of 11 modules over a 12 month period This includes, scoping, learning design, communications such as joining instructions and register of attendance and all facilitation of sessions, evaluation of sessions, and continuous improvements.
In addition to the training modules, you will be part of a team which is responsible for assigning learners to cohorts and scheduling of all workshops. The Learning and Development Specialist (L&DS) role is crucial for ensuring the delivery of a consistent high-quality learning experience for learners throughout their learning programme.
This work will require engagement and cross-team working with colleagues to align with programme objectives, avoid duplication, and feed data and insights into the overall Fast Stream learning evaluation. You will also be required, as needed, to scope and support other Fast Stream and Emerging Talent learning interventions/assessments and to share best practice across the wider business unit to support our centre of expertise approach.
After the programme you will provide a further 6 months of mentoring support to your learners.You will be responsible for supporting programme KPIs by providing attendance and attrition data (and reasons) and recording FAQ's and all workshop evaluations and feedback.
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in learning and development. They should also already hold a formal coaching qualification., + Design, delivery scheduling and facilitations of sessions for all modules;
+ Evaluation and continued improvement of all modules . This will involve data handling, analysis, and making recommendations;
+ Support evaluation of the whole Beyond Boundaries learning offer;
+ Assessment of BB learners throughout the programme to ensure they are implementing what they have learned and to evaluate the impact of the programme on their development
+ Support upskilling of Beyond Boundaries staff with facilitated sessions if/when required;
+ Internal and external engagement, including wider L&D team and wider FSET is essential (e.g. BB Ops team); external engagement with departments to ensure the programme meets their requirements and promoting the programme to current and potential future learners and departments.
+ Internal peer-to-peer observations and feedback on delivery to ensure quality;

+ Experience of facilitating learning events individually and in pairs;
+ A theoretical and practical understanding of different adult learning styles and how this can shape the design and delivery of the learning interventions;
+ An understanding of evaluation methods and measuring learning impact, including continuous improvement and the challenges associated with this;
+ Experience of formal coaching and talent development and learning principles.
+ Excellent knowledge of the wider civil service and civil service career pathways, success profiles and development opportunities.
+ An eye for detail and excellent organisation skills;
+ Ability to manage projects effectively and proactively, delivering outcomes in a timely manner;
+ Open to feedback and willingness to learn, demonstrating learning agility and a growth mindset.
Desirable:
+ Evidence of proactively using a variety of learning methodologies and styles;
+ Ability to promote a culture of continuous learning where innovative and quality learning is available and accessible for all;
+ Experience in formal coaching and using this in facilitation.
+ Ability to build strong relationships and work well with both internal and external stakeholders;
+ Experience of working with complex data, and use this to make informed decisions., + A formal coaching qualification and preferably Level 5 CIPD L&D qualification or willing to work towards., Level 5 CIPD L&D qualification and or Formal coaching qualification., + Communicating and Influencing

Technical skills
