Oxford Precision Psychiatry Lab (OxPPL), led by Professor Andrea Cipriani, is an international multidisciplinary group of researchers, clinicians, statisticians, and methodologists who are passionate about improving the lives of people with mental illness across the lifespan. The project manager will be working on PRADA (Prescribing the Right Agent for Depression in Adults), a four-year project that is funded by Wellcome, and aims to develop and test a web-based clinical decision support system to personalise antidepressant treatment. - Membership to a variety of social and sports clubs About the Role The post is funded to 31 October 2028 (with the possibility of extension for a further year) and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital. The post is available on a flexible hybrid basis. The preference is for on-site working with minimum onsite working as 4 days a week. Your primary responsibility as a Project Manager will be to work with the Chief Investigator and PRADA Trial Manager to ensure the efficient delivery of this project. You will be responsible for project documentation, setting up the work packages, and oversite of the clinical trials. You will take the lead on internal communications making sure that members of the different work packages are kept up to date and will regularly update the funder and ensure that key milestones are achieved within budget and time.
You will have a degree, along with significant experience in project management and experience of developing project documentation and governance structures, developing project plans and managing risk. With excellent interpersonal and communication skills you must have an interest in sharing and promoting research outputs and activities. Although you will not be responsible for the technical development of the PRADA tool, an understanding of or experience with AI, digital apps and software algorithms would be desirable, as would an understanding of major depression and its pharmacological treatments.
