Full Job Description

Ready to fuel the success of globally renowned brands like Ariel, Lenor and Fairy that millions of consumers can't live without? Ever dreamt of a career where you are fully supported by world-class training and development to progress to leadership? Want to work for a company consistently recognised as one of the UK's leading graduate employers? Then embark on a career in Engineering (Manufacturing) at P&G at our London Plant (West Thurrock) where our best ideas and innovations are transformed into reality in our world-class manufacturing operating facilities. Our technical, innovative environment is one that embraces fast-paced change and cultivates a sense of leadership and commitment amongst our employees. Our aim is to ignite your potential and equip you to enhance the capability, safety, and productivity of all our systems while reducing cost and boosting sustainability. We offer industry leading learning and development opportunities to allow you to excel in your career and take on new challenges - expanding your knowledge and expertise across a range of different areas. About our London Plant: From raw materials to finished products, our production facility is where innovation meets execution. Engineers and plant technicians work together to maintain efficiency, uphold safety, and ensure every product meets P&G's exacting quality standards - all whilst contributing to the bigger picture of delivering some of the most iconic P&G products like Fairy, Bold and Ariel that delight consumers worldwide. The site offers easy access to the city while being situated in a well-connected industrial hub. Chafford Hundred and Grays mainline stations (C2C train line) are nearest to the site besides several bus routes. On site there is free on-site parking, a subsidized restaurant, free on-site gym, occupational health support and local events! If you are offered a graduate role with our team, below are some examples of the roles and responsibilities you could have:

  • Design, implement and maintain systems to collect and analyse data for critical product and process parameters.
  • Identify and eliminate or reduce losses through making process or work system changes.
  • Own critical Daily Management Systems - you will be entrusted from the start to own these systems and processes!
  • Share and reapply learning across processes, modules and plants - you will be a key part of a wider Product Supply organisation, learning from others and sharing best practice, often across the region and sometimes the globe.
  • P&G Manufacturing Career Academy The Manufacturing Career Academy is the final step in our application process to secure yourself a graduate role with P&G! It is an intensive learning course designed to challenge your business and critical thinking, networking and team building skills, in real business situations. At our Manufacturing Career Academy, you will work on a real brand case study covering all aspects of business including a presentation to a board of directors at P&G, followed by a final interview. The Manufacturing Career Academy will be held in person in our London plant in West Thurrock, Essex on 3rd-4th December 2025. We believe socio-economic status should not be a barrier to accessing job opportunities and seek to ensure that we are championing social mobility. That's why all costs associated with your attendance at this event will be covered by P&G.

  • University students who will complete their degree by Summer 2026 in any Engineering discipline. We also welcome applications from graduates who have already completed a degree.
  • Evidence of passion and achievements in academic and/or non-academic activities. Tell us what you're proud of - be it playing a musical instrument or holding down a job alongside your studies. We want to get to know you during your application!
  • Strong foundational understanding of engineering principles within your chosen field, as well as problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills.
  • Right to Work: For our entry level technical roles such as this one, you will need a continuous, or temporary right to work in the UK. If your current right to work is temporary, or linked to another sponsor, P&G are willing to provide sponsorship from the end of your current permission, subject to meeting all the necessary Home Office requirements. Full details on visa restrictions can be found on the Home Office website and immigration rules are subject to change. P&G is legally required to ensure all candidates have the right to work in the UK from Day 1 of their employment. All applicants will therefore be asked to provide evidence of their right to work at the conclusion of the recruitment process as a condition of employment.

  • Responsibilities from Day 1: Right from the start you will be doing a full-time job in Engineering, managing a wide range of challenging business and technical assignments. This is also an opportunity for you to develop and deliver state-of-the-art technologies, supported by multi-million-dollar investments.
  • Build from Within Career: You'll collaborate with passionate individuals and receive both formal training and day-to-day mentoring from your manager. As a 'build from within' company, our people start at entry level and progress through the organization. When we make a job offer, it's with the expectation that you will grow into one of our future leaders, and to help you get there, you will work closely with skilled P&G veterans for mentoring and coaching at every step.
  • Competitive Compensation: The annual starting salary for this role is £45,000. We consistently benchmark our salaries against top competitors and every P&G employee's salary is reviewed at least annually so there is ample room for growth. In addition to this, you'll receive an annual bonus based on business results.
  • Great Benefits: P&G take a Total Rewards approach meaning on top of your salary, which is reviewed annually, you can expect a whole range of benefits including a competitive double-matched pension scheme, private health insurance, participation in a stock ownership scheme, and your very own 'Flex4Me' Fund which enables you to allocate a portion of your benefits package to the areas that matter most to you.
