Full Job Description
Your responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to:
+ To develop project plans, monitor progress, highlight problems and initiate corrective actions as required. Maintain communications with relevant stakeholders identifying issues that could affect implementation, addressing them and taking steps to mitigate gaps or weaknesses throughout the life of a project. To take responsibility for project related consultations, collating responses and drafting evaluation outcome reports.
+ To identify resources for project delivery and develop project documentation, such as project timetables and risk registers whilst acting as secretariat for any working groups required. Maintain appropriate project documentation and records including all decisions and supporting rationale. Keep Medical Administration Manager informed and up-to-date with programme progress, risks and accomplishments, feeding into relevant management boards as necessary.
+ To oversee Seafarer Safety and Health branch budget, including responsibility for monthly finance returns, accruals and forecasting, working alongside our finance business partner.
+ Support the statutory requirements for medical stores on board ship, taking account of UK and international legislation. Acting as secretariat for the Annual Medical Stores review meeting and drafting amendments to the M-Notice as appropriate.
+ To assist with the ongoing support and maintenance of the Online Approved Doctors Information System (ADIS) Medical System, liaising with the developers and colleagues in the Medical Team to identify areas for improvement to be implemented as part of the wider Maritime Directorate Platform project. Develop an understanding to the agency Data Protection responsibilities and ensure that the ADIS database remains compliant.
+ To be responsible for the assessment of overseas administration's Seafarer Medical Fitness Certificates, and consider their suitability to be included and/or to remain in MSN 1815 as meeting international requirements and acceptance on UK ships.
+ To attend relevant industry stakeholder meetings such as National Maritime Occupational Health & Safety Committee (NMOHSC), Work in Fishing Convention (WiFC) working group and Telemedical Maritime Assistance Service (TMAS) Quarterly to provide project updates and complete actions as allocated.

Working hours, office attendance and travel requirements
Full time roles consist of 37 hours per week.
This role is suitable for hybrid working, which is a non-contractual arrangement where a combination of workplace and home-based working can be accommodated subject to business requirements.
The expectation at present is a minimum of 60% of your working time a month will be spent at either your designated workplace (one of the locations cited in the advert) or, when required for business reasons, in another office/work location/visiting stakeholders. Your designated workplace will be your contractual place of work. There may be occasions where you are required to attend above the minimum expectation.
