Full Job Description
Tandridge District Council is seeking a strategic and collaborative Director of Resources to lead our financial strategy and fulfil the statutory duties of the Section 151 Officer. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the final chapter of a well-respected authority and leave a legacy of financial resilience, service excellence and community trust ahead of Local Government Reorganisation. You'll play a central role in ensuring the Council remains financially sustainable, innovative in its service delivery and responsive to the needs of residents and businesses. The role can be tailored to include a broader portfolio of services - such as Procurement, Revenues and Benefits, Asset Management, HR, Digital and Customer Services, and more - depending on your experience and interests. You will be part of the Management Team, which works together to support the Chief Executive to lead, support and deliver:
- The transformation of the Council, underpinned by the Corporate Plan.
- Service planning and delivery.

We're looking for a qualified finance professional (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with significant senior leadership experience, ideally within local government. You'll bring:
