Full Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Internal Communications Lead to join our Communications and Engagement team. This is a pivotal role, responsible for shaping and delivering internal communications that inspire, inform and connect our workforce across Buckinghamshire Council., The Strategic Internal Communications Lead will lead the development and implementation of internal communications strategies that support organisational priorities, drive employee engagement and foster a strong and inclusive workplace culture. Working closely with senior leaders, staff networks and services right across the organisation, you will ensure that our internal messaging is clear, consistent and aligned with our values and strategic direction.,
- Lead the delivery of internal communications strategies that support corporate priorities and change programmes.
- Provide strategic advice and hands-on support to senior leaders on internal messaging and engagement.
- Develop and manage internal campaigns that promote organisational values, wellbeing and inclusion.
- Oversee internal channels and content planning, ensuring timely and effective communication across the organisation.
- Organise online and in-person staff events and activities, from monthly staff meetings to our annual staff awards
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of internal communications, using insight to continuously improve., The Assistant Chief Executive directorate is central to Buckinghamshire Council's journey to establish itself as one of the best councils in the country. - Proven experience in developing and delivering internal communications strategies.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to work at pace.
- Experience of using insight and evaluation to shape communications activity.
