- INVEST: Investment in an improved environment that better meets the needs of customers and colleagues and minimises service disruption, We are looking for an experienced Senior PMO Officer to join the Workplace Services Programme (WPS) PMO team who will thrive in a busy and complex environment. The WPS PMO team sits at the heart of the WPS Programme and is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of 6 contract mobilisations. This includes the mobilisation of our Security Guarding and Facilities Management services which are essential to the running of our DWP offices. We play a key role in ensuring our colleagues and customers have a safe and secure place to work and interact in. The successful candidate will be able to integrate into a geographically dispersed Programme team, working across boundaries and provide expertise, leadership and motivation to drive forward the Programme's strategic aims. Reporting directly to the WPS PMO lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of critical mobilisation plans, working in collaboration with external suppliers to ensure a smooth transition. Key skills will include reporting, risk identification, assurance and navigating a broad range of stakeholder relationships whilst being able to bring your own leadership skills to make a difference in DWP.,
- Acts as a mentor and coach for HEO PMO Officers, driving continuous improvement in project management practices and methodologies.
- Admin Support- Manage the PMO administrative support function, with direct line management responsibility of a HEO PMO Officers, who in turn will have line management responsibility of EO PMO Support Officers.
- Controls & Reporting- Collate pertinent data from the PMO Team and present in a timely and accurate fashion to Project & Team Leads, ensuring a golden thread of connectivity between overarching DWP Estates Strategy and individual team plans.
- Document & Information Management- Assume ownership of the DWP Project SharePoint filing system. Manage & lead the PMO Team in their Document Controller & admin duties, with a view to standardising and maintaining filing structures.
- Specialist Support- Create and own CPIT's Project Risk Register and oversee the PMO Team in their risk input activities. Support the PMO Team in their management and monitoring of risk actions with respective risk owners. In conjunction with the PMO Team, detect, monitor, manage, and escalate, any potential workstream clashes for discussion and resolution within the team.
- Supply Chain Management - Using KPI data gathered from other sources, proactively manage the performance of Supply Chain Partners through feedback on KPI performance and attendance/key input into Key Account Meetings (KAMs).
- Ongoing management and facilitation of Personal Development Plans (PDPs), as well as responsibility for staff onboarding and offboarding. The PMO will lead on the capture and collation of project and programme Lessons Learned and associated action-planning to facilitate improvements across CPIT.
- Secretariat- support key internal stakeholders through the facilitation of secretariat functions for all meetings held across WPS workstreams, including the management of action points with respective action owners.
- Assurance- the Senior PMO Officer will organise and chair assurance meetings and provide workstreams leads with required reporting, including gap analysis.
- Diary Support- Oversee WPS diary support needs across the workstreams, including a bespoke diary management service for the G7 PMO Lead.
