We're here to create and harness knowledge, to deliver opportunity for everyone.About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Head of Payroll, Pensions and Finance Systems to join the Finance Department within Staff Recruitment, Payroll and Pension Services.You will oversee and manage a high-performing payroll and pension service, along with leading the systems team within the department. Your role will be to deliver a forward-thinking, proactive, business-oriented, and high-quality customer service that supports the strategic goals of the University.You will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of payroll and pension services for up to 3000 staff each month, across four pension schemes. This includes full accountability for ensuring all payments to employees and statutory bodies are correct, and that all necessary information is submitted promptly to HMRC, pension providers, and other regulatory bodies.In addition, you will provide strategic leadership to the

• Previous experience of successfully leading and managing a team through an involving and engagement style of management
• Experience of manging, developing and maintaining systems with an understanding of payroll and pension processes
• Ability organise and prioritise work in order to meet strict deadlines
• Demonstrable understanding and experience of working with HMRC, occupational pension schemes and other statutory bodies
