The VacancyRSK Ordnance Management (RSK-OM) part of RSK Group, offers services within the bomb disposal and unexploded ordnance (UXO) sector, together with assessments of impacts relating to subsequent and possible ground and environmental contamination risks.RSK-OM supports RSK businesses and additional clients with services including bomb disposal, UXO and ordnance management, risk assessments, ground investigation, ground contamination remediation and environmental impact mitigation. It also supports and contributes to the vital area of UXO research and investigation, both on land and in marine environments.We are now hiring for a Junior Estimator / Researcher to mainly work from Chester Offfice/Home, flexible, with visits to Boxworth for meetingsThis role will supplement our growing Sales Department and add experience and surge cover to our established Research Department. The hybrid nature of the role will follow operational requirements, conducting tasks according to business needs in both departments. The successful applicant will develop their skill set across the business.Key Responsibilities:Research:

• Conduct research for and produce Stage 1 Preliminary and Stage 2 Detailed UXO Risk Assessments. These must be written to a high standard, using time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Research, identify, and organise trips to local and national archives.
• Collate information and help manage the internal database of primary/secondary sources and GIS data.
• Assist UXO engineers by ensuring they have all available information pertaining to site works.
Sales:
• Maintain sales volume by delivering quotations to clients within the requested timeframe, while staying mindful of potential competitors.
• Contribute to team goals by supporting related activities, including participation in straightforward tenders.
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
• Ability to discuss projects with clients confidently.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including Research, Operations, and Accounts.
  
  A degree in History or a related discipline.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills with experience in negotiating and problem-solving.
• Ability to follow an established sales and research plans.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets set by Management.
• Presentation skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience maintaining detailed records of key client interactions in a CRM system
