We have an exciting opportunity to join us at the University of Sheffield, in association with Detectronic Ltd a UK leader in environmental monitoring technology. We are recruiting a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate to help develop and test a groundbreaking river water quality monitoring system. This system is being developed in response to the national need to continuously monitor wastewater spills into rivers. If successful, this technology has the potential to continuously monitor 1000's of storm sewer overflows.
We are looking for a well-motivated individual, with a strong technical background and experience in collecting and analysing data. Utilising our world leading experimental facilities, you will be required to help develop the monitoring system, evaluate and improve its performance. You will also lead on the development of installation strategies for widespread commercial deployment, supported by Detectronic staff.
There will be significant opportunities for personal development including the valuable opportunity to attend a residential programme at Ashorne Hill to further develop your professional skills and network. A generous development and training budget of £5000 is available and there is significant professional development opportunities provided by Detectronic. You will benefit from being a member of one of the largest and successful urban water research groups in the UK, as well as gaining direct experience with one of the UK's leading wastewater network monitoring companies. We are also committed to exploring flexible working opportunities.
