Duties
You will be required to carry out engineering activities within the department and work generated by the engineering CMMS in order of priority against criticality. You will install/repair/maintain /inspect, mechanical/electrical plant, equipment and services to industry standards
Key Responsibilities and Tasks

-Install, maintain, improve, and repair equipment, plant, services and building installations to set levels effectively

-Work in conjunction with operational management and operators
- Respond to technical issues affecting production.
- Maintain services through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
-Work under general supervision.
-Attend breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve with minimal downtime to production.
-Carry out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe, timely and professional manner and return equipment to operational service
-Estimate length of time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescales
-Comply with Permit to work arrangements
-Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage
-Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to management
-Ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations
-Have an awareness of site policies, procedures, and relevant engineering standards
-Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
-Carry out PPM schedules as necessary
-Assist visiting specialist engineers when necessary
-Ensure that contractors are utilised in accordance with company procedures
-Providing emergency response support as required

-The successful candidate would be time served with a four- or five-year nationally recognised/approved apprenticeship in either mechanical or electrical engineering
-Compex trained and COMAH experience are both highly desirable but not essential
