Full Job Description
Become a key player with our Gasway team as a Service and Breakdown Engineer. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your engineering skills while maintaining operational efficiency. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining the safety and reliability of our services.Multiple positions across various locations: NR/IP postcodesKey Responsibilities
- Perform routine service checks and respond to breakdowns promptly to ensure minimum disruption to services.
- Diagnose, repair and maintain equipment, adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
- Coordinate effectively with internal teams and external contractors to optimise repair processes.
- Implement preventative measures to avoid future breakdowns and enhance system reliability
- Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used, ensuring transparency and traceability.
- Participate in an on-call rota to provide support during off-peak hours where required
Proven track record in a service or maintenance engineering role, particularly responding to breakdown scenarios. - Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Gas related qualifications - Domestic: ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, MET1, HWSS1, CMDDA1, WREG
- A full UK driving licence is required. Skills and Aptitudes
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and strong attention to detail
- Strong technical acumen with experience using a variety of diagnostic tools and software.
- Outstanding communication skills, able to interact effectively with stakeholders and customers
