Full Job Description

You will be working across all parts of the Transport and Highways service, including: Highway Maintenance, Flood Risk Management and Drainage, Public Realm (major infrastructure projects) and Traffic Road Safety to provide help and assistance for the development and delivery of the various construction schemes and associated tasks. You will work closely with and be supported by an experienced team of engineers and technicians to assist and help achieve the delivery of the annual multi-million-pound programmes of works in Coventry.,

    We are looking for someone with a keen interest in making Civil Engineering their chosen career path and who wants to help us make a real difference by maintaining and improving the city's transport infrastructure. This is a public service role and therefore you should also enjoy helping people and interacting with them to make a difference. Being able to fit in and forge professional relationships with the rest of the team is key as well as flexibility and a 'can do' attitude. As a successful candidate you will need a full current UK driving licence or working towards, you will have the ability to use and understand IT systems in an office-based environment, you will have good communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines and work under pressure.

  • You will undertake the Level 4 Civil Engineering Senior Technician Apprenticeship standard.
