Full Job Description

Landmarc Support Services are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Technician to be part of our dynamic team.In this role, you'll take on a variety of maintenance, repair, and fabrication tasks to keep our estate running smoothly.You'll work on assets, vehicles, buildings, and equipment, ensuring everything is safe, reliable, and operating at its best.   • Perform repairs, maintenance, and inspections on engines, gearboxes, brakes, suspension systems, and other equipment.
  • Carry out diagnostic work and fault-finding to identify and resolve issues efficiently
  • Use and maintain tools, machinery, and company equipment safely and effectively
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and remedial repairs, including working at height or in confined spaces when required.
  • Complete all documentation accurately using both IT and paper-based systems.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, contractors, and asset users to ensure smooth site operations.
  • Provide mentorship and support to apprentices or trainees
  • Undertake driving tasks, including operating specialist plant machinery if required.

    Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., City & Guilds, ONC, NVQ) or equivalent, with relevant experience.
  • Full UK driving licence (Category C desirable)
  • Solid understanding of health & safety practices, including COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
  • Knowledge of specialist equipment (e.g., plant machinery and generators)
  • IT proficiency to complete documentation and reports
  • Ability to operate and maintain tools and equipment effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proven track record of meeting objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience dealing with customers.
  • Willingness to undertake training for high-risk environments (e.g., working at height or in confined spaces).
