Full Job Description
We will provide you with training and development to assist with the creation of Transport Engineering and Infrastructure solutions for the various sectors we work in within our Built Environment Team. You will have the following duties:
- Assisting Project Managers on a variety of projects in sectors such as residential, retail, power, commercial, and industrial throughout the UK and internationally
- Working as part of a design team, reporting to a senior engineer, and assisting with the production of technical designs
- Developing design knowledge and skills using specialist design software
- Site supervision of construction projects and record keeping
- Assisting with the compilation of design and construction tender packages
- Assisting with report compilation Due to the training nature of the role, it is expected that you will typically work from the office, but hybrid working is possible. We support engineers in obtaining professional qualifications and have a support network in place to help individuals become Incorporated or Chartered with a relevant institution such as the ICE or CIHT.
- A general understanding of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) or Manual for Streets
- Some experience supporting the design and delivery of highway projects
- The ability to work independently, with strong organisational and logical thinking skills
- Confidence with data, numeracy, and IT, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A willingness to learn and the ability to manage multiple project types simultaneously
